2008 Wrap Up

Broc takes 1st in the 85 jr class and 2nd in the 85 open class for 2008. At the begining of the year we decided to put Broc in the open class to give him some experience racing with the older/faster boys. By the end of the season he was winning and eventually ended the year in 2nd place. So much for trying to humble him!

Cole the Funky Chicken Mason, took 2nd overall in the 2008 65 jr class! Way to go Cole!

Trevor ended his first racing season with a third in 65sr and 8th in the 85 jr class.

We want to thank our sponsors and track owners for helping us do what we love!

3 Oaks (Persia), Round 7 of 11

Uncle S. was in town to see the boys race, so the pressure was on. The boys raced well in the humid heat.

Broc's 85 Open class was a fast group as usual. Racing against the older faster kids will prove to be a good learning experience as Broc moves up through the groups in the future.

Cole scored 2-2 in his 65 Junior class to take second overall. He showed an incredible determination in repeatedly catching and trying to pass Zane, who raced well as always - nice job, Zane.

Broc's 85 Junior class was a nailbiting race and came down to the wire. In the first heat, Broc didn't get the best gate choice and ended up with a slower start. He took third in the heat. In the second, he benefitted from a fall and quickly jumped from third to first, a lead he held and grew all the way to the finish. With the second heat counting for more than the first, Broc's 3-1 was good enough for the overall win.

Trevor continues to show improvement, getting better starts and restarting like a rocket after a fall in the 65 Senior class race.

It was also good to see Luke V. who came to the races with his leg in a cast. Luke had a terrible accident recently and is on the road to recovery... get well soon Luke!

Persia July, 20th

July 20th at Persia wa a good weekend for MBR. Trevor finished the 85jr class a passed several riders in the 65sr class. He continues to improve but we may limit the day before practicing sessions to 2 hours maximum so they aren’t worn out for Sundays racing.
Cole was as proud of himself as we were for him. He finally beat his rival and friend Zane. He wanted to tease Zane after the race but realized it wasn’t appropriate at the time. He continues to be the points leader.

Broc took second in the 85jr class to a District 22 racer, Chase Evans and fourth in the open class. Luke V continues to gain speed as he holeshot moto 2 of the jr class and holding Broc off for the first lap. Broc continues to lead the 85jr and is 3rd in the open.
